had to take a min to search my own thread

zerothread?id=396470

green she is ... the interior is black now with covered door inserts and glovebox in a black fabric, which i done. i completely stripped the inside, dyed everything black and installed a new carpet, shift boot, knob, etc... and yes i have an engine hoist. the guys name was rob. i am sort of hoping its not the same car because that engine was in perfect running condition when i sold it, had so much stock power, was impressive. strongest kade ive ever owned. does it have a header and full exhaust as well?

that other thread got locked, where you said you had built a 2jz 240 or something of that sort . but were asking how to pull the KA out of your current 240.

so is this KA, that KA? so you figured it out?

no pics of the 2jz? the wife? lol just playing....

that setup looks alright, like sebazztard said. a compression test is a must

i wasnt asking how to pull it just asking if it would be easier for me to pull just the motor instead of a motor transmission combo..

well what happen.......... the guy ame over and the car looked great inside and out just two very small rust spots.. and holes on the trunk lid where someone had taken the factory wing off.. but so back to how it blew.. i was outside earlier that day and i was just adjusting the idle the guy wacked it all up and i couldnt get the f***er to idle every time i would go to stop it would die.. and later that day i was going to do the oil change but i took it around the block and it ran great so a buddy and myself went to autozone so i could grab some oil and a filter.. welll i got it all and i got back home and just wanted to drive it once more b4 the oil change.. so i took it around the cove and i got it up to about 3 grand and BOOM threw a rod straight threw the block i was devestated i had'nt even had the car 24 hours.. so i pulled it home drained the oil..................................... (this is epic) there was saw dust in the motor so it would dampen the sound of the knocck i thought it was a valve tapping guess not lol..

yea she was pretty clean, had a few dents and what not. he had all these big plans of doing rb30 etc... i didnt really care because i was done with the project and i had 3 240's at the time so she was to go. still have the brown rubber floor mats? lol... man i cant believe that engine threw a rod, he must have abused the s*** out of it. just because its a healthy engine doesnt mean it needs to be abused all the time. how much did you pay for it if you dont mind me asking? i know what he paid me and i know what i bought it for, and what the previous owner paid as well. its been up in my area its entire life, i think i was the 4th owner? i will def have no problem giving you a hand with swapping out the engine, mondays will be good for me. will be cool to work on the car again, just sucks it had to happen this way.

nah dude, im busy unill this monday, then i will be free next sunday and monday. i paid 500 for it as well, invested about 400 then sold it for 2k to that guy. i put SO much time into that car tho its insane. i can send you pics if you want, i have hundreds, i was going to post a thread but never got around to it. if he sold it to you for 500, he knew something was wrong with it. the guy before me paid 2600 for it and only drove it a year or so. send me an email to [email protected] if you want to set something up in a few weeks. we can have that out in 2 hours no problem. comp me in gas

Dude...Why would you even say that? what fu**ing point did it have? My parents don't pay for anything, which is why my car is stock. Your a tool dude. I'm not going to start sh** with you again because i don't want to be banned, but you need to learn that just because someone lives with their parents doesn't mean they pay for everything. It may have been that way with you, but it isn't for me

What is a 2JZE? I know of a GTE and a GE but never an E model..... Must be the single hammer 2J that never existed......

Anyhow back on track, sucks about blowing the engine, but it happens. Now you have an excuse to build.

Pics now!

And do you want this title changed?

Googling 2JZE comes up with failed threads. They made a 1JZGE (NA 2.5L), 1JZGTE (twin turbo 2.5L), 2JZGE (3.0 NA), and the dezired 2JZGTE (3.0 twin turbo).

The JZ engine family came after the 5M, and the 1JZ ran side by side with the 7M family.

Please dont here we go again with the whole 2jz thing . Dude to make everyone happy just admit, that you never had one because they wont let go. What kinda car was the turbo kit for, what is the name of that turbo. And it will be best for you to tap the pan while the motor is out of the car trust me.

Wrong, it would be best to remove the oil pan from the engine when you tap it, that way you can be sure you removed all the metal shavings...

id love to give you a hand with the car,no problem but you cant rush this, as eager as you seem to be you need to take your time. try to find a beater for a few hundred bux, they are around here. like i said in my email, im free sundays and mondays only, i am down to help out, just gotta give me a few weeks.
