I have a 99Q and was wondering if the seats are all leather or just were you sit?I know some cars the sides and backs are vinyl.Just wondering because I will treat them with something other than leather conditioner. I don't think vinyl will absorb conditioner like leather.

thanksGM991

Leather conditioner works fine on vinyl. I would never use Armor All on any part of my car. And the door inserts and arm rests are vinyl, although I'm pretty sure the center console is leather (I worked in a high-end leather store - a long time ago - and I can barely tell the diff,, so...).

ThanksI agree the vinyl has got sooooooooo much better when matched up with leather in these cars. It is very hard to tell the difference.

Just wondering you don't use armor all on anything??You don't like it??

Armor All is too shiney and greasy. On interior vinyl and leather I use leather conditioner (you'll see that 90% of leather conditioners state that they're good for vinyl too) only. I hate dashboards that look like mirrors. Armor All had a natural shine product several years ago that wasn't bad, it conditioned without all that shine. On tires, and exterior rubber trim I use Meguiars, Eagle One, Mothers or Adams. I used to detail, and I still do my own cars, so I have literally dozens and dozens of bottles / cans of car care product - I counted close to 15 just of waxes.

Only if you don't like them. Look at for the blue bottle of the Lexol vinyl cleaner and conditioner.

Lexol is great.. my passenger seat leather was getting hard, and it softened it up noticeably... one more treatment and it will be like it was in 1994...

I use to use a low gloss made by STP a while ago. I haven't seen it lately but I liked it. Usually now I just use a damp cloth to get the dust off. Too many products leave a residue on the windshield over time if used on the dash.
