are new cams worth it for my 91

i was wondering if new cams would even be worth buying? i heard that the 91 se exhaust cam is the same as the nismo... would just and intake cam be hard to find? or does anybody know what cams are the best to get? or the cheapest?

The 91 intake cam is not 248 like the nismo cams.the Ehxaust cam is the same.

hey you should take your 91 cams out and give them to pdm... they regrind them so you have a much more powerful cam set. i will email you with the specs later, but the dohc version is very fast and streetable. you just have to send in your cams and wait for them to come back. so slick with headers and exhaust you wont believe.

the site says its now 325 a pair plus shims... so you might not be able to afford it. oh well. you could just get another exhaust cam and adapt it to the intake side...

YO technoman whats that about 248 degrees? I get different numbers all the time about what the intake and exhaust deg and lift is on those 91's. Seriously i dont know who to trust.

91 KA cams are 248 on the exhaust side and 240 on the intake side. Nismo cams are both exhaust cams one just has a relocated dowel pin.

You should get a header if you want more HP.

dude what you should do is get another exaust cam from the junkyard and use it as your intake cam that will work really good i did it with my prelude and i got like 20 whp

You have to relocate the dowel pin in order for that to work. I have no specifics as to where it needs to be relocated to, tho.

You would need to take it to a machine shop along with the stock intake cam and have them do it.
