I have agx+stech combination.

I first ran them 3/4, 3/8, then 2/4, 4/8, then 3/4, 6/8, that was quite nice, then it became really soft all of the settings kind of became softer, when i went to lower settings they felt even softer.

I first thought it was just me getting used to the 'hardness' but I don't know...

I also noticed another thing at 2/4 front my steering wheel was so loose. At 3/4 front was soo firm, the steering was very firm (except understeer happened unless i tightened the rear).

Then the 3/4, 6/8 became so wobbly too... i can't explain it It became soft to me...

I know I need to replace tie rods but what i noticed is that the steering wheel became sooo lose now... what the hell.

Today I set it to 4/4 front and 8/8 rear.. It's quite firm but surprsingly not back breaing at all its just literally very firm and not bouncy or anything ,it seems almost perfect.. but what the hell?!

Are my shocks on their way out I can't believe this, I'm so sad.

They've been running since june 2006... car was stored for 4 months for winter.

So you do the math.. what gives...

My steering wheel became so wobbly and I felt like my tires didn't have enough grip when I was blasting it in bends as it felt dangerous... today set at the highest dampening settings I'm back to the 'new' feeling and it grips but... i dont know... the steering wheel also seems to stay in place, less to little or no bumpsteer, no wobbliness, and... it just stays in place although car pulls to right as i need an alignment.

take a look at them, see if there is any oil on them. if there is then they are going bad.

Gas shocks still have oil in them -- the gas is used to pressurize the shock casing to prevent the shock oil from cavitating (bubbling) as it passes through the cutouts in the shock piston at high speed.

If any type of shock is leaking oil, then it's probably blow. Likewise, if you can quantify and numerically prove that your car has gotten bouncier, then I'd say your shocks were going out as well.
