well the funny thing is, this is the second set from them. the first one wasn't grinded right, but you couldn't tell with the naked eye. do you think they will work still?

why risk it?

im pretty sure that piece is a guide for the shaft, what if the rest breaks off and the cam starts moving around in the head?

If thats broke the cams are not straight. I would not run them send them back. Tell them to look them over before they are sent out or you will be pissed.

sounds like he's trying to cover his *** for his mistakes by blaming it on shipping. How did you pay for the product? The packaging is poor to say the least, especially of an item of this precision, anything could screw it up, shipping or not. Sounds like a poor machinist, poor customer service and poor shipping quality control. If you had problems with these guys before why did you go back to them? Anyone who is dealing with my money and is a prick deserves a kick in the ***, not a second chance. Fight it hard, he will eventually give in.

ok well i'm from illinois and i towed my car out to cali to have Mckinney do my RB swap and while it was there I sent the head and cams and ect....over to http://www.gude.com/ (about ten mins from mckinneys shop) to do a port and polish package and got it back and Mckinney put it all together and it was running like sh_t.....anyway mckinney and Gude couldn't figure out the problem so i had them put a stock head and cams back in to get me home..........i took the head and cams to a shop here in illinois and right off the bat, they told me the cams were grinded wrong, so i sent them back and had them send me another set and now they're chipped........so you see i didn't go back to them, I'm still trying to work things out from the first time.................................and i think i paid with a cashiers check

yeah, i have heard alot fo bad things about those guys.a guy from honda-tech sent his head there to get work done, and when it came back it looked like they had mileld the head with a belt sander. so the head was very uneven, and would neve seal right again.

1st off those cams are NOGUDE. I remember a Gude head package that was installed onto a Civic EX. It came with ported head, cam and ecu. We dynoed the car before the swap. It put down a blazing 110hp to the wheels. After the Head swap it put down 108hp, They tried everything to get the car to make more hp like it was suppose too. I told him to put the stock cam back in and bam it made 115hp lol. My friend told me back in the day that Gude was Bullsh!t. The funny part was the Gude blamed the dyno lol, he said it wasn't calibrated right. My friend took one of his cams to WEBCam to get checked out and they mesaured each lobe and told him that they were all diffrent lol

lodge a suit with the BBB (better buisness beauro?) and say horrible things about them.then threaten to sue their asses to get your cams covered or they pay out the arse.good luck man, i hate dodgy parts houses and shady shops.

well the thing that sucks is, I took my car out to Mckinney in late oct, last year. i was supposed to be there two weeks and then drive home, but after mac got the stuff back from gude and put the motor together, there was low compresion on cylinder one and two and it ran like crap, so i went home empty handed and went back jan 10th and still nothing was done(lucky i had family living out there)well mac(mckinney) and bill(from Gude) pointed fingers at eachother and couldn't find the problem(they thought it was the ported head).....anyway Mckinney suggested i stick a stock head and cams in and drive it home, so thats what we did and it ran fine......anyway i was out there the second time for all most 2 months(time =money!).......and like i said not too long after i got back a local shop found the problem to be the cams, and i sent them back and got these chipped ones......so really they've cost me alot more then just those cams, they cost me the plane ride back out there, money to have Mckinney put a stock head and cams back on and money for food and time away from work .................if i can I'm going to demand a full refund!( it all depends on how many complaints they already have with the BBB
