stupid question i know, but i want to make sure before i put my e back together. Half say yes, some say no. AMS contradicts themselves. frsport says no. i know that the rod bearings are.

yes. as long as you compare get the right size. ie, std. .020 etc.
the block is in essence the same with very slight differences.
