Ok so I have a s13 with a Syko Performance RB25det swap that I did myself I'm running a down pipe that I got on eBay and it works fine its just the bends are not right and its causing me to have problems with ground clearance and I'm thinking about getting a new one with a flex joint built in.

So hears my question. Do down pipes with flexible sections negatively effect performance?

if you want to be 100% technical, yes they do

but in the real world, its so minimal you will NEVER notice it.

Yeah it depends on which type of flex joint you get. There are some that have flat rings on the inside, some that have protruding rings, or even braided on the inside like the outside.

You should try to either get a picture of the inside or ask which one they're using.
