most of us lose them somehow...

it'll keep from getting crap slung all over the car.

the opossum is the number one destroyer of them...

i have like half of mine left. the force of air when driving pushes mine back into my tires and its now in two pieces on both sides. i think nissan could have done a better design in making those things stay in place. **** it

When I had my 240, the passenger front wheel well liner wrapped around the wheel when I was driving. They are relatively cheap to replace and they keep moisture, dirt and other debris from entering in the engine compartment.

sheet metal... thats a great idea, exept i WILL have to paint it, you know. You dont need shiny metal down there. In my last accident, the liner came off and hit the tire. When i drove it back home, the wind pushed it against the tire and it must have caught on fire or what i dont know, cause it melted the front part completely off.

sheet metal ain't made of feathers.

the fiber composite or plastic used is way way lighter.

they are very thin, but serve the purpose of keeping **** clean.

you can get some thin sheet metal and make some higher fenders though. get rid of that fiberous crap and make some nice high sheet metal ones and run some bigger wheels. BTW, does anyone know where to get one of those undercar cowl fiberous things? i think its a dust shield of some sort.

i am lazy and dont want to sketch out the pattern to put a sheet metal one in there. it dosent mean its a bad idea though. If anyone has a spare one for the drivers side id love to have it, i guess. The dealer wants $88 for a new one...
