Are door handles and locks specific?

As the topic states.

Did the hatchback and coupes have differently style door handles?

I can't see this being the case...but I thought I'd check to make sure.

Also, if I was looking to make all the keys match, could I find door locks for another Nissan car of the same era? Say Maxima, Sentra, etc and use the door locks from one of them?

I've got non-matching door locks and it bugs me.
