Hoping to join the ranks of G37 owners soon (some sweet pix here). I'm looking to buy a G37x 2009 sedan. For those who have purchased recently, were you able to deal in today's economy or should I expect to pay around MSRP because of high demand and short supply? Want it so bad, I may get sucked into paying more than MSRP if I'm not careful. Would I do better waiting a couple of months? FWIW, I'm located in Mass. Anyone have a favorite dealer in this area? Thanks.

I've also had to show some restraint--I was ready to buy in November 08 when the 09 sedan was supposed to debut. Still no deals here in the Dallas, TX area, but a little birdie told me to wait until March for a sweeter deal. March is Nissan/Infiniti's fiscal year end, and many dealers are tied to the same calendar and should be more willing to deal at that time.

Well, they are dealing. Emailed my offer to my local dealer to purchase G37x sedan with nav and prem at invoice OTD plus tax yesterday. Was accepted within 2 hours. Went to dealer this morning. They tried to add doc charges, but I reminded them that my offer was OTD with no doc charges. They apolgized and immediately lowered the price to offset the doc charges without any argument whatsoever. The only color combination I wanted had wood trim (which I didn't want to pay for). They threw the wood in for free without any negotiation. So ended up getting the 09 G37x sedan with nav and prem (and wood) for $600 below invoice. The deal went so smoothly, maybe I should have asked for more Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.

Sweet, sounds like you got a pretty good deal. I'd like to see what the would have gone down to. Seems like they must be playing hard ball with a lot of people out there right now.

Just picked it up today - will try to get a pic up soon. Its graphite on graphite. What a sweet ride. Turns out they threw in a few other things they did not charge for like splash guards, cargo net, etc. They just automatialy put that stuff all all the cars I guess.

Congrats on getting a great deal. Where can I find the invoice figures for the '09 sedan? Sounds like a good strategy--drop a line, and see if the dealer bites. And is "OTD" = "out the door"?

OTD is out the door. Go to edmunds.com and click on new cars, then build your car with options. You will get the MSRP, the invoice price, and Edmund's estimate of what others are paying for the car (which as of last week was just a little above invoice).
