Are coilovers for me?

I'm going to check out a clip today w/ a lot of extra's. The guy also has a full set of TEIN coilovers (not sure what model yet) and he will give me a really good deal on them. However, I was thinking about it today and I don't know if coilovers are for me. I drift, auto-x, and drag occasionally. My car is mainly my daily driver, so I want it to drive comfortably. Is it possible to have coilovers and have your car handle stiffer, yet not be jumpy on the street?

Thanks and sorry if this post sounds strange, it was rushed

Where in FL are you? I'll give you a ride in my car with my setup...that's the only real way to tell whether or not you'll like something.

I'm in tampa, but I have to make my final decision about the clip/extras by saturday morning. The clip is in the Orlando/Kissimmee area (Orange County I think), so I'll be in that area saturday morning. The coilovers are the TEIN HA model and 3 are in good shape, however, one of them is broken (the spring part). I think its the front right. Is it possible to purchase 1 coilover? How can I get a replacement? Or can I send it to TEIN USA to rebuild?

Thanks, Johann

You'd definately have to contact Tein USA on this one.

I'm sure they can sell you one coilover, but you'll probably get ripped off. And depending on how damaged the coilover is, it may or may not be repairable. If it's just busted perches, you can get replacements. If your shock body has cut in half though, I really don't know what they'd do.

How much are they selling for?

It's part of a clip I was considering. http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....24359

I checked with a local shop and they said TEIN sells 1 full coilover for $280. The other 3 are in pretty good condition.

Where in SoFla are you located? Hopefully around palm beach? Also, what coilovers do you have?
