are cluthc disks interchangable between companies?

can u use cluthc disks from one company onanother companys pressure plate?

I would think so, after all the centerforce duel friction is just a rebadged oem maxima disk.

The only problem I could see would be the engagement point. Say company A designed their pp to engage at a certain point. Then you swap in company B's clutch disk thats a different size. The engagement point could be lower or higher depending if the disk is thicker or thinner than Company A originally designed for.

I guess the absolute worst case scenereo is; the disk is thinner than the pressure plate was designed for, therefore some of its stroke is used to just reach the disk, and not press on the disk. You lose valuable force that should be clamping the disk. So you get slippage. Chances are good this wont happen because I bet the disks are basically all the same size anyways.
