Only the ones that vote for repeal

32 million more Americans would be uninsured by 2026 under Senate measure heading to a vote next week, CBO projects

https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpos ... ion&wpmk=1

"The measure, which appears to have little chance of passing, would get rid of ACA premium subsidies as of 2020 and would eliminate the penalty most Americans face if they go without health insurance. It would end Medicaid expansion as of 2020 as well as repeal several of the ACA’s taxes. And the cost-sharing subsidies that have been paid to insurers to help lower-income consumers afford their deductibles and other health expenses would be repealed in 2020."

They fail to mention the tax cuts they promise to the wealthy as they screw the poorest Americans

Whatever ends up happening, you can be sure it will likely be 50 years before things are ever back to the status quo they were at around 2010 or earlier. If ever. The insurance companies are already lining up to say they MUST have the government payout that aided the poor and Trump says they will not be getting it. Watch another stock market meltdown just like the banks risked everything on, they paved the way and showed the other 'too bigs to fail' how to do it. Create your own crises due to incompetence (which may not be incompetence at all) and then weather it to as JP Morgan CEO said to stockholders after the depression 'have the greatest year in the history of our company!'.

What happens when you back fully (death if you don't) a leader whose greatest feat is saying one thing in the first half of a sentence to then say the exact opposite in the latter half.

I watched no less than 3 Senate practitioners (R's all) of the 'new logic' now do exactly the same thing on PBS today, talk glowing words of how Medicaid people would be getting more benefit while in same sentence saying that it would be more economical with the new cost controls. If that ain't talking out of both sides of ones' mouth I don't know what is. It's like listening to a 5 year old speak politics, the statements don't even make any sense any longer. I'm wondering how long it will take Webster's dictionary to define 'wonderful' as horrible and 'great healthcare plan' as you just got screwed more than you ever will.

No doctor co-pay, no hospital co-pay, no hospital charges covered, no emergency room visits, no prescription drug coverage at all, no maternity care, no mental health, utterly unmentionable deductibles, oh YES the insurance for that will be EASILY affordable, but you are an idiot if you buy it as it will cover literally NOTHING. $10/month is too much for that. WONDERFUL plan, just like the man lied, I mean said.

We are in trouble this time folks and woe to those who voted for him out of ignorance, when that Medicaid vanishes they will be remembering that for many many years or until many of them die. That has not sunk in at all yet, poll after poll taken in those states show business as usual, they love him, they don't take any note of what is most important to themselves just like they are the last ones to get out of the stock market to lose everything over and over. You'll see a lower intelligent person often self destruct before he will ever cave in to his having been wrong. It's part of the DNA.

Everybody wants to be 'correct' and not say it but there IS a solid price to pay for stupidity and many will pay way more than their fair share. I really hate to say deservedly so but it fits for sure.

Yes, indeed ... quite sad. I am disappointed by the voters in this country, actually. :tisk:

As I will note (and have said publicly before the election), I am a registered Republican, but there was no way in hell I was going to vote for Trump.

Because I strongly believe in getting the right candidate for any office, not their party affiliation.

Hey Howie -

The fact that you regularly ignore the criminal, dishonest and inappropriate behavior of anyone with a D after their name, while tugging your ancient pecker with glee every time someone with a R is mentioned in a negative fashion, makes it abundantly clear that you're exactly the kind of "YAY TEAM" bucket-on-head assclown I was talking about.

The Democrats are hardly angels...
President Trump has claimed that he would have won the popular vote in the 2016 presidential election if not for illegal voting, and his administration has singled out California as a possible contributor to that margin.

Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog organization, has sent a letter to California Secretary of State Alex Padilla on behalf of the Election Integrity Project, noting that there are 11 counties in the state with more registered voters, and alleging that the state may be out of compliance with Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).

Judicial Watch lays out the specifics: “[T]here were more total registered voters than there were adults over the age of 18 living in each of the following eleven (11) counties: Imperial (102%), Lassen (102%), Los Angeles (112%), Monterey (104%), San Diego (138%), San Francisco (114%), San Mateo (111%), Santa Cruz (109%), Solano (111%), Stanislaus (102%), and Yolo (110%).” The letter notes that the percentage in L.A. Country may be as high as 144%.

The Scandal That Matters
Democratic IT staff who had access to sensitive data stand accused of fraud.
by Wall Street Journalist Kimberly Strassel

Strassel noted that “based on what we already know, the Awan story is—at the very least—a tale of massive government incompetence that seemingly allowed a family of accused swindlers to bilk federal taxpayers out of millions and even put national secrets at risk. In a more accountable world, House Democrats would be forced to step down.”

Strassel’s comments follows Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis saying this week that the House IT scandal is one of the “all-time congressional scandals in the last 30 years.”

The FBI arrested one of Wasserman Schultz’s top IT aides, Imran Awan, on bank fraud charges in late May as he attempted to flee the country to Pakistan, where he had recently wired almost $300,000. Awan and several of his family members who worked for dozens of House Democrats are suspected of stealing computers and improperly accessing and transferring House members’ computer files.
FBI Seizes Destroyed Computer Equipment From Garage Of Pakistani DNC IT Staffers
Eight weeks after Debbie Wasserman Schultz publicly threatened the chief of DC Capitol Police with ‘consequences‘ if he didn’t turn over a confiscated laptop used by Pakistani IT staffers employed by over 30 House and Senate democrats to run their networks, the Daily Caller reports that the FBI has seized more equipment from the garage of a house owned by Imran Awan and his wife Alvi after a tenant called investigators.
Top Democrat Arrested For Horrendous Crimes Against Sick Children
Former Congresswoman Corrine Brown was found guilty of 18 of the 22 charges against her. A 12-member jury found her guilty of conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, lying on financial disclosure forms, impeding IRS tax laws, and filing false tax returns according to First Coast News.

She stole, and this is just sick, money from a charity that helped sick and underprivileged children. All told she pocketed more than $800,000 from the charity, One Door for Education, between 2012 and 2016.

Her guilty counts:
  • Count 1 is a conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud charge.
  • Counts 2 through 8 are aiding and abetting mail fraud charges.
  • Counts 9 through 17 are aiding and abetting wire fraud charges.
  • Count 19 is an engaging in a scheme to hide facts charge.
  • Count 21 is a corruptly endeavoring to obstruct and impede IRS laws filing her tax returns for tax years 2008 – 2014 charge.
  • Count 22 is a charge alleging filing false U.S. individual income tax returns in 2012.
  • Count 23 is a charge alleging filing false U.S. individual income tax returns in 2013.
  • Count 24 is a charge alleging filing false U.S. individual income tax returns in 2014.
Brown stayed silent as the jury came back with their devastating verdict but released a statement through her lawyer. She said,

“While I respect the jury’s decision, I disagree with it and I want to make it clear that I maintain my innocence. I did not commit these crimes and I intend to file a motion for a new trial. I will continue to stand on my record of decades of faithful service to this community and the nation.

I have a long record of charitable service to the community and that will continue even during this process. I want to thank my family and friends for their prayers and support during this difficult time. I ask that you continue to pray for and support me. This fight is not over and as I’m sure you know I will continue to fight to clear my name and restore my reputation.”
Top Democratic Donor ARRESTED – Facing LIFE In Prison
Democrats were rocked by yet another arrest when Dr. Salomon Melgen, a top donor to the party, was convicted of 67 counts of Medicare fraud stemming from a 2015 incitement. It was during that time that Melgen was also indicted for bribing Senator Robert Menendez (D-New Jersey), who is facing corruption charges. Melgen’s conviction will also likely result in Menendez being convicted for bribery.

Exactly.

That's why Howie's rants are so ludicrous. It's like he's autistic and perseverates (look it up, HM) on the only thing he can be mad at.

Speaking of which, if Howie were a magazine, he'd be Rolling Stone. It's like an entire rag dedicated to anti-GOP rhetoric and stroking off the DNC. This month was especially humorous - they're fapping off over the Canucky PM... "Why can't he be our President, wah wah wah?"

Interesting article. I chuckled. There's evidently a serious lack of file maintenance by some administrative folks in California (likely not political) than intentional partisan election fraud. So applying political spin and accusing either party of cheating here seems a tad inappropriate. For example, many people do not bother to notify their voter registration offices if they move, causing many to be registered in multiple states. Steve Bannon & Tiffany Trump are both guilty of that. But unless they voted more than once, it's not a serious crime. Another example, there are also notifications of deaths that don't get their voter registations deleted as well. Again, It's not a crime unless other people vote using those names. So to see more registrations than population is not very surprising. Sadly it seems these days people are more interested in blaming the other party than actually trying to resolve the problems. that's 'Murican politics.

...and if it were rural Oklahoma, the left would be losing their minds. But it's not. It's LA, and it's 144%.

To be fair, we can get into the statistical associations between those likely to move a lot and their likely party affiliation - but profiling is frowned upon. ;)

As a former auditor, you're right - I'm not seeing at it as 'fraud' per se. But remember, the left has been riding the "OMG HIllary won the popular vote" turd right up out of the overflowing toilet, so it's only fair for the right to counter with a more in-depth look at those numbers.

Oh, and shame on CA for being so sloppy. Quite typical of such a clownshoes republic.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel accused of secretly redirecting $55 million in TIF funds.
The funds were earmarked to help a poor, predominantly black ward on Chicago’s South Side. Instead, the diverted property tax funds were poured into a popular tourist attraction in a wealthy area – another vanity project for the Mayor. Chicago taxpayers are on the hook for these funds too – but they’d never know it because it’s not disclosed on their tax bills.
Ald. Pat Dowell (3rd), whose ward includes McCormick Place, has called for City Council hearings, and other aldermen also voiced their outrage on Monday.

Tax increment financing allows the city to divert a portion of property tax revenue in designated areas on projects to promote development in struggling communities. After learning $55 million in TIF money had been used for renovations at the city’s most popular tourist attraction, aldermen were downright offended.

“I am outraged by Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s decision, lack of transparency,” Ald. Susan Sadlowski Garza (10th) said.

Ald. John Arena (45th) said the Emanuel administration lied to aldermen about how the $55 million in TIF money would be used.

We were lied to. Alderman Dowell in the 3rd Ward was lied to in public and in private. They perjured themselves to us about this money, and then openly in city emails they discussed the laundering of the money from that project to this tourist trap. This is unconscionable,” Arena (45th) said.

Several students, teachers, and activists joined aldermen on Monday, noting the $55 million transfer took place in 2013, at the same time the Emanuel administration was closing dozens of public schools it deemed underutilized.

I guess "all the news that's fit to print" does not include accuracy... :) I find it ironic that NYT's inaccuracy was caught by a media outlet (Fox News) that does the exact same thing. That is, mixing opinion into the news. Disappointing for every side.

The NYT was wrong to make the "leak" claim. For the other side to say that negates the validity of the entire study and report is every bit as wrong. I fully expect to see the right leaning outlets claims the science and the report are bogus because the NYT said the public part of the draft was a leak instead of already being readily available for all to see. The two are not related.

Agreed - My only issue here is with the news outlet. The science isn't up for question.

In this case, Faux actually did the right thing. I don't see anything in there questioning the validity of the process, just bashing a fellow sketchy news outlet.

It's a rare occasion that I give Fox credit for handling a story properly but for this story, :bigthumb: .

...and if it were rural Oklahoma, the left would be losing their minds.

Quite typical of such a clown-shoes republic.
And CA says they won't cooperate with the election integrity commission.
Judicial Watch has done a study that includes data from 462 counties in 38 states that shows there are 3,551,760 more voters registered than lives in those 38 states. Let’s put this in perspective: The 3.5 million-plus “Ghost Voters” are equal to the state of Connecticut. That’s also more than Hillary’s lead in the popular vote, something widely touted by liberals as “proof” she “won” the election.

In Colorado, Hillary won the popular vote by 136,386. Colorado has 159,373 ghost voters. That is not to say Hillary won the state solely on the backs of ghost voters, but it does prove the potential is there.

In June California Secretary of State Alex Padilla told the Trump administration the state will not cooperate with the election integrity commission because it would “only serve to legitimize the false and already debunked claims of massive voter fraud.”

Of course they won't. "California " and "integrity" go together like "Howie" and "logic."
