are 240sx's rare?

only integras that are rare are the 2nd gen GS-r with the b17 and the type R tegs. thats about it. i used to be a teg owner. i should of traded my 240sx for a GS-R (1992) when i had the chance, very rare car to find and very fun to drive.

AE86 or datsun on east coast..... rare as sin due to rust... and when u do find them they are outrageously priced

but 240's not really that rare

most are just beat to hell

ive only seen 4 verts in real life, upclose that wernt beat up/ maintained correctly. the other 2 were in the junk yard top down, for 2+ years

ive seen four verts and only three real koukis. then one zenki with a kouki front. so i would say kouki and verts deff rare. otherwise hell no.

2 s14's 3 z32s 1 vert and maybe 3 or 4 hatches and a couple coupes, thats it going from my house in an hour and half direction any way. rare? to me it is. on the other hand, i rarely see integras then again why would i look for them?

to answer your question if 240s are rare? well its yes and no. Someone said earlier that they are highly sought out cars...which they are cause i spent about 6 months looking for a descent one, in production numbers though, the 94 and 98 are definently the rarest, imo i would consider 97's to be rare too

94 and 98 are the rarest 240's and there are more S13's than S14's (i think this is only US production numbers tho)

Well the 240sx was only sold in the states so it doesnt matter.

And 240s are pretty rare. I dont see them much and there numbers speak for them selves.

There are accually more 300ZXs (Z32) then there are 240SXs (S14)Pretty crazy stuff

It truly does depend on where you live. There are some here in Florida, but not many. There are two in my neighborhood besides my own. One is owned by an old lady and I feel so bad for it. And the other is owned by some guy and it just sits out front, getting weather beaten and has part of the cat back hanging off...and i feel bad for it as well. They are both S13's. I rarely ever see an S14...but hey it's Florida, people have way to many Honda's down here and enough ricer mentality to fill China.

They are rare compared to the majority of other compact sport imports. We have more S2000's in my town that 240sx's.

A more relevant statistic is how many are still on the road? Not every '89 Nissan 240sx manufactured is still registered... so they are increasingly rare.

integras rare lol!!! I do hardly ever see the DA integras. Well I hope they both are rare cause I got a 1989 240, was crashed, she is in the process of rebuild and I got a DA Integra for my DD till the 240 can take the place, and then there will be a RARE CAR FOR SALE, should be easy to overcharge someone for that huh.For real tho, I dont think either are rare. I have owned 2 240's and an integra in 2 years with only paid 3500 total for all 3.

i live in orlando, FL i see them all the time. i also happen to see skylines and supras 2 or 3 times a month. not very many integras though. maybe ricers are finding other nice cars to make look like shxt

your right abought the z thing. i can find z's all day in my area,never see a 240 except when i go to school and i know everyone who has one.within a 30 mile area or so

there pretty rare, i maybe see one a week besides mine, the majority of the ones i see are people i know.

I have seen three where I live in about a 30 mile radius. Mine, a red s-13 like 20 miles away and a mint condition black s-13 hatch driven by my 80 year old grandma. If you go up to like Auburn WA though there are tons of 240's but down here they are pretty rare. I have only seen one zenki and one kouki in this state for the record.

i've never actually seen a kouki or a vert in my area. definitely some of the most rare 240s.

240lookis u are in seattle. I have seen like a billion(exageration) up there when I lived in oak harbor. I brought one there from nc and sold it. I know there is 3 s14's and 4 s13's on that tiny island. So in seattle there is a **** ton. UPGARAGE... 240 importer and sr20 stuff. Major company. comeone. they are not rare. I think rare means a high school kid cant pick one up for dirt and a crashed one doesnt go for 300 bucks like I just picked up. RARE means in any condition they are a hot commoditiy. If there were so many in junkyards people would just pick em up, restore em and flip them!!!!

well, where i live there are no such things as skylines, and for supras there are only two that i know of...but they are kept in storage and the owners might drive them once or twice a year (one of them only has 30 original miles on the chassis and motor...and its a 1990), as for 240's there are only about 10 at most, all zenki's

I some how scored the cleanest hatch s13 in all of mobile. There is a super clean coupe too. But mine was drift free and has not been ragged thank god.
