i was on aspecproducts.com and i came across this......... a new oil pan. would this be a good upgrade for a future KAT?

Do you mean ARE dry sump pan? Those have been around for ages, but only fit the ka24 truck blocks for various reasons.

Never heard of this ARC pan, you have any information on it?

Edit: Nm, I remember ARC now, japanese.

my guess would be its an sr oil pan, buts its something to find out

that looks like an SR oil pan since it has too many holes for bolts, the ka only has like 12, that 1 has a bunch.

i'ma hafta go with everyone on this one....SR pan....i was just under my car and there are definately not that many bolts in the KA's pan

Probably right about it being for SR, but for wishful thinking.. it does say "image shown may not be for specific vehicle" =)

Most aftermarket products for our motor will be built in the states, because it was not really used over there. I'm not aware of anyone making an aftermarket oil pan for this motor(at this time).

Yea, I have yet to see an aftermarket pan for the ka... It's cuz we don't have weak lil aluminum ones that need to be replaced... hehe.

Don't mean to sound like a noob but are the sizes about the same for the demintions(sp)? cuz I'll just get some metal straps and block off the holes and just drill the ones I need. Or am I wishing for an easier fix than is avaible?
