Does anyone have an arc recirc bov? There's a few on ebay right now and I'm thinking of grabbing one. The other I was looking at is an older blitz dd, it looks like the outlet horn is removable and I could rig up a recirc adaptor, maybe? The one arc bov is apparently off an r34 skyline and it comes with a 90 mm (yikes!!) pipe. I was planning on no bigger than 2.5" intercooler pipe, (that's 60 mm for the metric set, conversion factors, love 'em), but that's beside the point. I've got an atmo greddy type-rs now and, well, would like to retract my previous statement, it's just too loud. And now, I'm just a riceboy...help a diehard ca man fan find the recirc bov troof and still stay jdm tite, kid!! Thanks, fellas and ladies!

Oh yeah, . Laters!!

well. I can help get that greddy bov off of your hands if you really want that recirc

zerothread/177791Knightrider -yes a dsm style bypass valve would work, bosch makes a pretty good one also. the best way to plumb it up is have the bypass valve close to the TB, and have it go across the engine and have the port on the suction pipe point towards the turbo so you dont mess with the maf by blowing air at it backwards.

biosehnsucht - You can hear my PROF Sheepdog BOV just fine recirculated if you're actually next to me.. altho I'm not sure if thats cause its a dual outlet system (if there's enough pressure difference to open it far enough, it will atmos BOV through the back of it as well as recirc)

Edit again: don't really see any info on the ARC

I'm running a BOSCH recirc valve out of a second gen DSM. They supposedly won't hold more than 10psi, but for right now, that's fine for me. But anyway, the point I was making was that, even recirculated, pulling from right infront of the TB and into the suction side of the turbo, you can still hear it when it opens. It's by no means loud, but definatly noticable....

Yeah, I know you can still hear them...

But it's really more of a "chuff" than the extended "wa-pssssssh!!!!!" I'm getting now, plus less likely to stall at idle, not that mine, ahem, does that or anything. It's not that I mind the noise, it's just excessive noise. My problem with the police eyeing me suspicously, like I was a threat to national security or something, doesn't just stop at the exhaust, now. I was also looking for the sheepdog/prof but no one really seems to have them. ARC seems to be a highly regarded company, and it's not that there's anything specifically wrong with the ebay specials, it's just that they're ebay specials. If I could recirc the greddy, I would, but the horn isn't removable and it seems to be designed for max noise. I've got a friend with 3" ic pipe and a monstrous turbo'd vr6 jetta (like 20 psi) and the same valve and mine is louder...s13 sr20 turbo and stock(!) ic, probably something to do with smaller pipes(?)...Anyways, I appreciate the input...has anyone tried removing the old school blitz dd horn and rigging recirc up?
