If you would like to help me win an arbitration case against Infiniti please post here. I have been to dealership many times for the same issues as we have all been having with the steering, pulling, trammeling, and noise problems with the M35's. The dealership here in Arkanasas has refused to fix the car. They keep giving me the same thing. NOT A PROBLEM, CAR IS GOOD, But everytime i took the car in they would adjust the suspension and do a complete allignement to try to cover the problems up instead of fixing the car like the should. If you would like to help please post comments that I can read to the courts and win this so I can get this car fixed and possibly push our cases further along. I have spent money and time on tires and driving to the dealership one way 80 miles several times. BBB has helped me take this to aribatration. Dealer still refuses to fix car. Thanks to all.

this is a well know issue with all the infiniti M owners, one that the dealer has always refused to fix and one that does not occur on the G35 model, for example. i have a G35 and the car drives and handles like a dream, straight as an arrow. Not the case with the M and the dealer has always disregarded this problem. I went to the dealer 5-6 times for the same, they took me on the same ride as you, always adjusting the suspension by realigning, with no positive results! I ended up spending over 3K in new wheels, tires, and suspension upgrades to try to fix the problem. Mostly fixed, but still traces of tramlining. Feel free to share this with anyone. I reported this issue to Nissan/Infiniti, too!

Tramlining.

Make sure you use the proper term.

IIRC, it's a caster adjustment issue.

The problem is, it could also be tire related. If you don't have tires that are at least OEM specified or better, you may be SOL.

I have put two new sets of tires on the car in the last 6 months, both brand new. The first set was a cheap brand put on by the dealer when i bought the car used(28500 miles). The second set(35000 miles) I bought was the ContiExtremes that was supposed to be one of the best replacements for this traminling issue. I have also paid for alignments myself even though the tires and the alignments were put on and aligned by my local Infiniti dealer.

I'd want to see the printout from the alignment and compare to OEM specs, esp caster.

I had the exact same issue as did many many more on here. I bought new REO10 Bridgestones and the tramlining never came back. Now my tires are running low again on, I am experiencing the same issue. I have had this issue on several other cars including BMW/Mercedes and even Porsche. Its always been down to alignment and tires, never a suspension issue or anything related.

Make sure you don't waste your money on a lawyer and so called Lemon Laws as a good set of OEM tires should cure this.

Yup - tires it is. I have a set of Khumo rear tires and RS-A fronts, never really gave a darn about them since they were on the car when I bought it. Then I rotated the tires and the Khumo's up front caused bad Tramlining. A day later I put my RS-A's back up there and the issue was gone completely and drove like a dream again.

I recently noticed rear tire wear so I switched em back till my rims I ordered are built and the tramlining has returned.

Caster is the culprit, but ultimately the tire is going to transmit everything back up to the steering wheel.
