I'd be a lot more interested in it if it didn't require an effing iphone to control.

What the @#$% @#% @#$ @ #%! @#% !@#% !@# %! @%# $%#@ $^ @#$^ @#$^ @#$ %! @#$%@# %&@$ %^!#$@ % $*#% @ $%^@ # kind of @#$^#$^@# moron decides "hey, let's make an expensive hovering R/C toy and require people to already own a $300 phone in order to use it.
Why the
#$%@ does it not come with its own remote? There's NO REASON this thing can't be controlled with a regular two-stick remote.
I'm not paying 300 @#$%^@%%@%#@%ing dollars for a radio control vehicle that doesn't even COME WITH A @#$!@#%!%! REMOTE.
My annoyance cannot be expressed by verbal profanity. I give the Parrot AR designers one- AND two-finger salutes.
I think the reason I'm so annoyed is that, aside from that whole lack-of-a-way-to-actually-use-the-damn-thing aspect, I think it's a really neat flier. I'd probably find a way to spend $300 I don't have on it if I could actually control it.
Even if they release control software for other devices, I'm not interested. I have a Wii. I know firsthand how bad gyro controls suck (note: really bad). I have no interest in flailing a phone around to pilot what might otherwise be a precision-handling aerotypething.
