Just wondering what you guys think of this:

http://hpautoworks.com/aprgtc200.html

I'm seriously thinking of getting this for my 1990 fastback...

Here is a link to it on APR's actual website:

http://www.aprperformance.com/...yID=1

Also wondering which application would work....On hpautoworks site they have it listed as universal along with 3 other cars..

It's kind of large and ugly. Are you considering this purely for aesthetic purposes? If so, get it if you like it.

Well I personally don't mind wings as long as they aren't too crazy high. It says that it is only 10 inches high which isn't too bad. After reading more on APR's site about aerodynamics, having a higher wing is a good thing and it helps give your rear more downforce. Now as for street performance I really don't know if you would need that for just driving around but whatever...I kinda like it though. Any know of other wings in this style on the net?

I've decided I'm going with the APR GTC 200 (first link) . JUst waiting to hear back from them about compatibility with the S13...I'll let you all know how it turns and hopefully I'll put some pics up of it when I get it.

Personally, I am not much for the carbon/aluminum wings, I think they are only functional at high speeds...and they look a little out of place on a street car...

just to give you a warning to the guy buying a wing. Below 40mph your doing nothing but dragging your car in the wind

I happen to like REAL Cf wings. I also like them when they are really high on teh s13 hatchback. They are moderately functional. But i dont care. I like the way they look.

First off I DO NOT have a full body kit YET or make 300 HP YET ...I have a stockpile of parts that I even have yet to put on the S13 (I bought parts for the SR and suspension for over a year while waiting to even buy my 2nd S13....yeah I know premature). Also I realize that at low speeds the wing would be ineffective (thanks for the heads up tho)....At the very least it's adjustable so I would be able to minimize drag TO AN EXTENT....I really appreciate everyones input though. I personally like the wing cosmetically, I'll let you all know when I use for it awhile how it does aerodynamically. My s13 doesn't have a stock spoiler because the hatch was switched due to rust. Also I really happen to like the Signal Auto Drifter twin wings and those are super high....This wing is only 10 inches in height so it might not have as much drag as you think (we'll see tho). Also this post wasn't meant to sound angry or defensive as some ppl might take it due to the caps....If you all have anymore advice though lemme know becasue I would really like to be able to find out just how good it is aerodynamically....Oh I haven't bought it yet, I just plan on buying it in the next month unless I find something better. Yeah, I know some of you don't like wings, but before the whole trend started with them, I was into all kinds of racing (except NASCAR) and I always liked those big wings...Of course my S13 won't be running LeMans but hey I still would like to have a wing..

since people for once arent being angry about wings i personally like the c-west gt wing that is on the s13 that tein uses to demonstrate the look of an s13 with their suspension. go to teins website and check out the pictures of the gold s13 with the s15 front end. i like this kind cuz it sort of slants backwards a little, my favorite racing wings are prolly the brumos porsche daytona prototype cars in the rolex sports car series, which hav this kind of wing

I'm going to guess that it was his car previously and he sold it to the guy, now he finds out it's getting a fat wing on it and he's expressing his opinion personally

I really hope you're buying this wing for its aero purposes, otherwise NOO!!

when i bought my 240, the guy had put one of those ricey kind of wings on it. it's an rdx aluminum double deck wing with little shock absorbers. it flattens out the faster i go. i take it off for daily driving around town, but if i take a freeway trip it i slap it on. i can really feel a difference at around 60mph on the swervy type mountain roads or even just going straight. the rear end feels way more 'tacked' to the road. never thought i would be able to feel a difference with one of those things, but i can....especially at daily 10psi. =)

oh yeah, the sale description says it's adjustable, but not really. i think that just means it adjusts with the wind because of the little shocks. kind of like a flap. it takes a fair amount of pressure by hand to push it down, which surprises me how much it flattens out so easily at around 50-60 MPH...

maybe i can take some pics. if it were me, i wouldn't have bought it...or at least bought a real low profile type wing. it's still kind of ricey to me though.

If someone had a wing that was proven in one of those wind tunnel rooms for both the hatch and the coupe and had a subtle look, plus was a 100% real carbon fiber maybe more of us would consider it at least I would. Im not much for wings unless I had something that resembled more of a gt300 car like a widebody fd. Street cars and wings dont mix especially the 89-94 s chasis without some aerokit thats overkill. That just my few cents.

Lets think about this...No stock performance cars come with wings that big. the only place you see those are on racecars capable of 200+mph. They are part of full 'aero' kits designed in a wind tunnel.

I seriously doubt you can feel the downforce of that wing at 60mph. And if you can, I hope you can also feel the increased drag created at all speeds.I'm sure a small suspension adjustment can reduce oversteer and make your car feel more planted in the corners.

I have an 86 Firebird wing on my 91 coupe, it looks like the one from nightrider and i think it looks badass. Just be careful when doing the wing thing, they d!ck with the antenna when its up and you wanna lift the trunk.
