My 94 Q is now 88k miles and approaching 90k miles. Just wanna know what time should I get the timing belt changed, and what else I need to check and/or replace/upgrade.

Also I would like to know a normal price to get those things done.

Thank you very much for helping me out! :help

No belt. Has the past history been good? Were the plugs changed at 60k? I think a 90k service mirrors the recommended 30k service--filters and fluids, generally. How is it running?

So what time should i change the timing belt?? I just bought the Q a week ago and I will go run the service records in Infiniti dealer when I have time.

The car runs perfect right now and I dont feel any problems with it

I have checked the carfax and the car is clean w/o any major accidents, lemon or anything.

No, the Q doesn't have a belt. It has a chain that'll probably last at least another 100k, if not 200k. The plugs are the most painful maintenance item that I can think of, but they should have been done at 60k, and should be good for another 60k from that point. Some things that may be due for replacement if they're original (not routine maintenance):shocks and bushingstension rod bushingsfront upper linksO2 sensorsknock sensorsfuel pump if it's hummingalignment

Spark plugs. Probably $500 to do at a dealership. I see you're in SoCal...I can say I haven't been terribly impressed by either the Santa Monica or the Torrance dealerships for service. Very pleasant, and great customer focus, but the work done just didn't seem to justify the cost. Part of why I DIY anything I can. The parts guy at Santa Monica is amazing, but you will save a **LOT** of money if you buy your factory parts from one of our sponsors, at left.

Ok so is it better to use the stock spark plugs or upgrades like Iridium ones from NGK or other brands?

Besides dealership is it realible to do the service at a usual maintainance shop? Or it is too complicated to be better done in dealership??

For plugs always use factory original NGK. PFR6B-11.

So far we know that a properly maintained and repaired 94Q Standard version with TCS can last 10.5-11 years and 323,000 miles.........same engine if driven in the South. Same injectors.........obviously alternators, knock sensors and multiple plenum hose rehabs, valve cover reseals, water pumps, etc.

The owner looks fit and healthy after driving 30,000+ miles per year for 10 years..........don't know about his internal problems from subjecting his body to those rigors..........lots of Bar BQ/Chicken joints on the road here.

You gotta be joking? But yes it has a cooler and the second transmission has been flushed every year and has over 180,000 miles.

Remember trannies are speced at so many shifts [100,000] obviously interstate travel vs. commutes is a lot different.90,000 city miles in 10 years would be the same as 200,000 + highway miles in shifts per mile. My 2nd 90 Q transmission is still going in its 2nd Q [after almost 9 years] with 205,000 + miles [most of which [90%] were interstate highway no city commutes]. Currently it is in use commutting..........not much hope that it will last long?

An 11 year old car with only 88k means nothing without the exact mode of driving [did it sit 6 months per year] or was it abused ever day by being driven only 20 miles in bumper to bumper traffic?
