This June will mark four years with the car and it really has performed nicely. I drive it for work all over and have 42k miles on it. The only thing I'd like checked is the clutch slave cylinder before the warranty runs out . On hot days in heavy traffic (we just had two day of 95 degrees here in Sacramento) the return on the clutch get soft and squishy. One time the pedal returned only half way for a while until the car cooled off for several hours. The problem's intermittent and won't present itself unless the ambient temp is hot.

How would you guys approach this issue with the dealership?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I have the same problem with mine on 90*+ days. I don't worry about it.

The problem will go away with an aftermarket flywheel/clutch.

Are you sure Joe? Squishy pedal action is a function of the slave cylinder fluid heating up. I was thinking about putting some fluid in with a higher temp rating like DOT 4 (or asking the dealership to do this).

Hey Telcoman: you're not worried that the clutch pedal may not return someday? On a side note, I work in deferred comp (401k and 457 plans for CA state workers). Trying to get people to save money right now is like pulling teeth!
