Whats funny is that some of those patents aren't even integrated by HTC. Since Android is open source for the most part a lot of these have been programmed into the phones by random developers that create custom roms.
I for one hope Apple gets their a** kicked on this one, but then again I don't like Apple.
Patent law isn't that simple. It basically compels litigation even if an outcome isn't expected.S13FX wrote:Full story here http://tcrn.ch/aQXl4Z

Sure they are, look at how many iPhone killers have already decimated iPhone sales.angrypenguin182 wrote:Agreed, they know they're gonna actually come out w/ an iphone a** kicker
Apple itself has been sued for several silly patent infringements. I don't know why people get religious about their phones. It isn't good vs evil, its just business. They're just communication devices. We're just buyers.BusyBadger wrote:I think its humourous to watch them going after HTC. & Co. in order to avoid confronting Google directly.
My guess is the crew in Redmond is just pulling up a seat with a big bag of popcorn and a Coke to watch. APple needs to get of their Holier Than Tbhou horse and admit they're as dirty as everyone else.
I agree with you 100%, especially about how this is just business and about Nokia.Jesda wrote:

As for "iPhone killers", you're all living in a cave. Nokia is by far the world's most dominant manufacturer of smartphones.
Agreed. Nokia is great.Jesda wrote:As for "iPhone killers", you're all living in a cave. Nokia is by far the world's most dominant manufacturer of smartphones.
And Microsoft. Windows does multitouch now, as does Windows Phone 7.PoorManQ45 wrote:One of those patents applies to multitouch. I wonder if Apple will be going after HP and Dell also.
Its not just multi touch though. That one says one or more fingers.MinisterofDOOM wrote:
