What are your thoughts on it?

I think they killed it with the name, it sounds wack. It should be called Iphone XL, but with no capabilities of a phone.

I honestly cant justify the purchase of one if you already have an iphone or a ipod touch.

Apple has some splaining to do, for it to work.

I could use the usefulness of it, if the e-book thing takes off for college students.

massive fail on apples part.

no physical connections besides through doc connector, i.e. you have to pay to plug a usb device into it.

no flash.

no multitasking.

hack-job applications (iphone apps rendered on a much larger screen? sorry, but no, just no)

anyone else feel like buying a netbook for half the price and a magnitude of more functionality? yep.

This is typical of Apple marketing. First they put out a version that is "stripped" and the whole world goes ZOMG and buys one. As the world uses their new apple product they say "wtf this thing is missing the most basic stuff" so Apple releases the next generation that is slightly better. So all those that said "ZOMG" say "ZOMG" again and give their first one to their poor friend and but the new generation. Then Apple releases another generation which is slightly better than the last one and you repeat this process about 10 times. Therefore Apple profits. I call it milking the market for all it's worth, and it works.

I think the body is large for that screen. Too much dead space.

I like how Jobs goes to a site during the keynote that uses flash and it shows the picture showing that flash doesn't work. Genius, Jobs.

Sould be running OS X. Would be much better.

I hope they are working on the second gen iPads now because this one sucks.

- Too bad it doesn’t come with some kind of lid you could close to protect it from abrasion and shock. Come to think of it, you could put the keyboard on the bottom half and the screen could actually be incorporated into the lid.

- You could call it an iClam maybe.

- Not a bad idea. Maybe give the hinge some sturdiness so you could keep the screen vertical while typing. Would certainly make it easier to use in your lap.
