I'm deeply sorry for any hurt feelings I caused over the debate of a Q45 vs. a muscle car. My first love fell with the mustang 5.0 and also with BMW's so I got a little to riled up over the whole thing. AZhitman, I owe you a personal apology for calling you a jerk, I just really take offense when anyone says I have no knowlege abotu cars when I spend almost all my free time working on my car. I'm sorry for all the rash comments I made about infiniti, Q45's, and their owners'. I hope no hard feelings are held against me.

ON a side note, AZ, there is a 2002 Dark Blue Q for 42k with 11,000 miles. Is this a good deal? My dad's looking to purchase with a trade-in on the 330ci.

Thank you Altiman. I personally have had early 60's Mustangs and 70's BMWs, so you have to realize there is a little experience on this board with other marques. There is even at least one owner who went from an M5 back to a Q45. Is the M5 faster? You bet. Is it a better car for everyday driving? He didn't think so.

It does require some maturity and character to apologize for an egregious gaffe.

You are to be congratulated for learning about your car by wrenching. I wish I still had the time.

My father is looking to go from BMW to Infiniti via a 330ci to a Q45. He doesn't enjoy shifting any longer.

we drove it yesturday and am actually ashamed to admit that I really like the car. It's pretty fast for being so big and the interior is very luxarious. Not sure about the ride in the snowy Iowa weather, any thoughts on that?

As for snow:

It's all in the tires.Buy actual snow tires like Blizzaks and the car will out-trac AWD SUV that are merely equipped with all seasons.

Altiman94 - Thanks, as a Q owner and regular member of this board (I do venture outsdie of the Infiniti area) I appreciate your post.

To add ALOT of irony and possible see this come full circle, AZ mentioned that he has 2002 Q's in the $38 range. Wouldn't that be interesting???

Altiman:A question:

Is that price dealer or Private party?Cuz it seems right for dealer (due to low milage) but for PP its a tad high.

it's a dealerprice. Could AZ send a 2002-2003 Q here without having to jack up the price significantly for shipping?

Alty -

Thanks for the kind words. No hard feelings, it's already forgotten. Your experience with cars is duly noted and registered in my memory now. :D

Still wish we could get Dad on here - We need all the Q owners we can get, as we learn from each other every day.

The Q deal your Dad is looking at isn't a bad price. I HAD two 2002's, fully loaded (with everything available) for $38-39, both are sold. Another one just came in but is priced at $41.5, so with shipping you're looking at $42.

Make sure he doesn't get hammered on the trade in of the 330ci. We have one on the lot right now that hasn't moved in 2 months. It's black, the European version with the M rims, special front fascia and black suede interior. Won't sell at $33K, but books out at $35K wholesale. The market for used Bimmer's right now is TERRIBLY soft.

Welcome back.

Yep - We rule.

I hate drama - As a volunteer, I (and many others) dedicate countless hours of work towards keeping NICO alive and rocking, so it's always a plus when things are smooth.

Any time you have 11,000 people living under the same roof, there's bound to be a spat now and again - No big thang. :D

Right now you'd be obligated to meet that guy by the flag pole at 3:00. Be there, or be square!

After the first couple, I didn't get jacked with much. I'm skinny, but I fight dirty - REAL dirty. :D

Altiman94,

Apology accepted and I too owe you an apology. I jumped on you way too early and harshly back there. I'm sure you can understand those bad days when one little meaningless thing sets you off. No excuses though...I apologize.

Nick :)

P.S. Tell your Dad to nab that Q before someone else does and he regrets it. ;)

Hey AZ. It still says I'm banned from my personal computer at home, is there any way you can fix that so I can access NICO from my personal computer at home? I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me out.

I'll try to get him on, but he doesn't have that much time with his job and building the new garage, but from time to time he gets on and browses just for fun
