ApexiN1 Single bumping the steel bumper on 98 240sx

Has anyone had the problem where the can of the muffler rides just a bit too high, and on large bumps in the road it will hit the steel bumper just behind the bumper cover?

Does anyone have a solution for this other than bending the hangers?

I was thinking that maybe the rubber hanger mounts were different lengths and I put them back on out of order.

my GP sports would rattle at idle against the bumper. solution lower teh exhuast and grinder away at the lip on the bumper. i only had to take like 1/4" off and no more rattle.

That's a good idea, maybe I can just bend the bumper in right at that point with a crowbar and a dead blow hammer. Just to notch it.

good luck but i think that will be alot harder. try your way first then you could always try mine

Can't say that i've ever had that problem on my s14mc. The only problem would probably be that V point in the piping that hangs pretty damn low!
