Well, I have the WS coilovers and I heard the same things you did, they aren't good for drifting and auto x and what not. I have yet to test them on the track but during some spirited driving sessions, They have performed well in my opinion. I like the WS, but if you are looking to get a real track performer, I would suggest getting some real track coilovers. I am not sure if the springs/strut combos would be a better choice because I think, THINK, that the WS springs are stiffer than what is offered with just lowering springs. Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The only advantage I could see to those would be the AGX shocks being adjustable. It's always in what you want out of your car, as you will see if you look at the previous posts about coilovers vs. spring/shocks. If you want a daily driver with a very smooth ride a just a little lower ride, just some lowering springs or maybe add some GR-2s to that. To get a good track setup on somewhat of a budget, a tein/rs-r/eibach spring setup with AGX shocks would be the way to go. If you want a total track monster, the higher priced coilovers will be the only way to go. For 850, the WS are a good deal, maybe check the prices of the tein BASIC coilover setup. Somewhat the same. If you really plan on pushing your car often, get some good spring/strut combo or a fully adjustable coilover setup for about 500 more.
