i didnt get too much time to really play with it yet. but i do know this. you have to have a real good understanding of what it really does and what you are doing. it is very helpful and advisable to have a wideband o2 gauge to get real time readings. a regular a/f gauge will show you an accuracy within 1 AFR and the wideband will have an accuracy of around .2 AFR.

you can blow things (ecu) up pretty quick if you dont know what your doing.

This is true, another note I would like to make is that the KA already runs pretty rich in the lower RPM's. You probably wouldn't want to start programming until you you get above 2800RPM. You also don't want to exceed over 30%+. Don't know to much about TTP correction, but I was told it is bad to go any higher than 30%+. You can get pretty good gains from 8~10CHP depending on the modifications you made. Changing out cams or raising the compression you will probably see higher gains.

When installing the SAFC disconnect your ground, and also read your FSM very carefully, so you don't surge your ECU, or SAFC.

I was actually told to take the car to a dyno and have the have run your car, tune the AFC and then do a seocnd run to see the gains. Like the other guys said I don't recommend tuning it yourself unless you know exactley what you're doing. I plan on buying the SAFC for my S14 pretty soon

as soon as you can get it to a dyno, do it. let the pros handle that stuff. if you do set the correction to 30%+ like bigvinnie says, you will blow out the section in your ecu that controls the fuel pump and the injectors. ive seen it happen first hand
