Hello,

I have about $300 to spend on rb20det engine stuff and I want the most performance gains from the money i have ;) so i am thinking either get my car tuned with an apexi s-afc2 (its running EXTREMLEY rich at 10.5:1 a/f ratio) or go with a SS exhaust manifold.

Recently there has been a lot of SS exhaust manifolds on ebay for the rb20det! I have heard some good things and some bad things about their manifolds. One good thing is if it DOES crack then they said they will replace it. On the auction it says "it will never crack) and is made of thicker tubing. The quality looks pretty nice but im assuming its not optimal because the tubes are not equal length.

I am wandering what kind of HP gains from the manifold vs. the apexi s-afc2. I got an rb20det with stock IC, 3" full exhaust (turbo back), and a boost controller....

any other mods for under $300?

Thanks

Tony

I'd go with the AFC 2. Wait till you get more money for a bigger turbo and look for a better manifold. If it cracks will they replace your turbo too when something hits the blades from the manifold? The SAFC 2 seems like a better road to more HP vs the manifold. Go the Cheap route and hone your stock manifold out or port it yourself if you have the time.
