Getting some Vq30det love

Post

Hi Guys,

I have an issue with my apexi PFC where it does not control the fuel pump relay. I have found a few threads in my look over the internets for a solution however I am yet to find any answers, so i thought i would post up here and see if any of you technical genuss know the answer!

little background is a jap spec 180sx orgionaly ca18det then converted to s14 s1 SR20det.

The wiring was all done backyard mecanics spec, in a recent track day (6 months ago) i was doing a burnout and melted the fuel pump/allways on/ignition on wires from the ecu to the box near the intake.

these actually fuesed all together and the PFC would not turn off. We quckly fixed this and seperated all the wired and used leky tape to fix them up to finish the event. From here the PFC would not control the fuel pump, we had to hardwire a ground to the relay to make it work.

more recently, i have redone the wiring and made everything not as dody as before.

before you ask, the stock ecu will control the fuel pump fine, its just my pfc.

we took the pfc apart and had a look for busted internals and nothing looked burned out or broken

could anyone provide any possible solutions?

thanks in advance !

Something in the power fc is shot, just because it looks like nothing is burned doesn't mean that something isn't fried.

I couldn't tell you where to look or what to look for in the pfc without a circuit diagram, and I don't have a clue as to who would have the resources to repair it other than apexi.

call apex-i, they would be most qualified to answer this, or look around for a qualified PowerFC tuner.
