you want a great sounding exhaust then you cant go wrong with the hks hi-power. I put it on my car 2 weeks ago and it has a nice low tone.

well anyway i got the tr evo II 94mm piping version on my stock KA because im a ricer :D it comes with a mandatory resonated straight pipe (mandatory because it flares out to 94mm to fit the remainder of the piping) and instead of bolting together it is held with O ring clamps so that is neato. anyway, with a downpipe, it is basically straight off the motor so if you dont have a turbo it is like the loudest thing ever :) my little 4 banger is louder than a large amount of domestic v8s combined :p if you cant go fast, go loud! wooo, brb gotta go get some type r stickers at the pep boys

Check the Apex'i GT-Spec exhaust. Never heard it myself, but it seems like it would be on par with the Trust Tr Evo II chmercer's been talking about. 95mm exhaust, one-piece design, and for $500? Sounds good to me...

I have the GT-spec, it is LOUD..get a silencer. Not recommended for a non-turbo car though, 3.74 piping is huge

Well, yeah. With 95mm (3.74") it should only be used on turbo'd cars. I already think 80mm is a stretch on N/A cars (Apex'i N1, Blitz Nur-Spec etc) but I wouldn't even think of putting a fat 95mm barrel on a stocker. IMO, the new RS*R Ex-Mag looks pretty slick. It's got 80mm but doesn't have the monster 4" tip you usually see. Supposedly has good sound suppresion w/o a silencer.

the exmag dosent have a straight muffler which is why it is a lot quieter, but this restricts flow, so...

Well, I've never been a big fan of the 4" tipped exhuasts, and yeah I do know the Ex-Mag doesn't have a completly straight-through exhaust, but can that really make a difference? Seems like it would be a better exhuast choice for a N/A car, sound wise. Plus it still has the 80mm for an SR20 swap in the future...

... but I'd probably just contradict myself and buy a Nur-Spec (4" tip and all) if I ever did get an SR20.
