anyone have a good reason why i should spend $100 more for the apexi can? im building a custom exhaust for my mr2, and the pipe lengths are quite short. (maybe 28" total) -Enzo

$100 more for the name and maybe an apexi logo stamped on the muffler.

if you're going custom, i dont see why you shouldnt just use a use a magnaflow muffler. i hear they make a bunch of nice non-cannister style ones that will flow really well and wont seem ricey

there again, its more $$$. i dont have a whole lot of space to work with, im not following the winding stock exhaust path. i have 22" from the header collector to the bumper of the car. a magnaflow oval would be nearly all of that distance, and might not fit as well as a smaller canister...-Enzo

doesn't magnaflow make mufflers specifically for the purpose of having two pipes going through one muffler in opposite directions? That's usually what I see on mid-engined cars.

Steps to Posting on NICO

Step 1: Thoroughly Read Post

Step 2: Read Responses that might be saying what you had in mind

Step 3: Dont be a moron and follow the steps before you post something that has nothing to do with where we are now

i think your best bet is just to work with inline mufflers opposed to the type that already has a tip...what kind of muffling are you looking for? what it seems to me is that you dont care about noise, now that i understand what you're doing w/ the exhaust, i suggest maybe just a resonator and straight pipe...SRT4 style

i dont want to use one of those camarostyle transverse mufflers b/ca: they are huge heavy and priceyb: the smallest piping is 2.5" in and dual 2.5" out. my lil 1.6L motor doesnt need that/i will lose the 30lb-ft i still have hahaha
