Apexi N1 Dual on S14 <~ follow up

Hello All,

I bought 2 silencers for my exhaust...I was trying to borrow them but figured.. I should just have them.. just in case... I got a good deal on them anyways..

So I put them on and went back to the State Referee and got tested...well and behold

I PASSESd with my reading coming out to 94.2 dbA

They gave me a sticker that said I passed and so I have paperwork taht says everything on my car is legit and I passed noise test...It even says Apexi as the ebxhaust on the sticker itself so the cops can't say anything to me any more...

the funny thing is that the guy opened my hood looked at my engine dead on... reading the tag under the hood said ..."they mistake these for the twin turbo's don't they!"

hmmm... maybe he missed the big cover saying "INTERCOOLED TURBO" on my RED TOP. this was my the state referee..

in any case.. it's all good.. I got away big time! so I'm happy and I got rid of my tint as well... I should nto get stopped for no reason anymore!

I didn't get tested for emmisions.. just the sound... If I had to get tested for emmisions, I would have been screwed....

If you were just going to get tested for sound, could he have busted you for your engine when he popped the hood?

yup.. he could have... he could have called it in or something.. I think by law, he has to report anything that is illegal...

hey guys...i was thinkin bout gettin a dual n1.....how loud is it on the na cars......i heard they get pretty loud.....u think its loud enuff to get a lot of crap for in chicago??

I have it in my na KA and it sets off alarms. When you see a cop you must shift to a higher gear just to silence it some.

I love driving under a bridge with my windows rolled down:)

rofl.. TWIN CAM reads as "twin turbo" in most peoples' minds. You wouldn't beleive how many times this has happene to me.

it would be good for other people to go there, lol, get aways with some other things.
