Well I guess Apexi discontinued the S-AFC and is now offering the AFC NEO. Has anyone installed an air/fuel controller like this? I am very interested and any feedback would be helpful. Thanks

I have heard about these being put on other cars but i don't know anyone with one on a G35. I knew a guy that had an actual skyline (G35 version) and he just had his stock ecu tuned along with his turbos and other mods. He actually owns the RVIT controller with the tune saved into it so he did my ecu as well even though my car is N/A. Well anyways, the tune was awesome and it was free for me. If you get the AFC NEO you will need to get it installed and then also pay for dyno tuning. Probably not worth it unless you've got extensive mods IMO.

Hey I just noticed you are in S.D. Post another message here if you want me to try to reach the guy I know. He is actually down in S.D. unless he's moved since I last talked to him. I don't know how much he might charge you but the whole thing will only take about 30 minutes and I'm sure it will save you a ton of cash. Plus you will be VERY satisfied. I'm talking from experience.

At one of the shops up here, they charge $150 per hour. Depending on what you have done, expect $150-$600.

Another guy who has a dyno and a failing shop charges $300. flat rate. (1 minute/10 hours all the same price)

The NEO is on its way and I think that even if I cant get it tuned soon it ill be better than running lean 100% of the tim. I will stay posted on this process for all those interested.

Well got he Neo today. It looks like a pretty straight foreward install but getting to the wires on the ecu might be a pita. I got a nice spot to install it though. No nav on my g so I think mounting it on the underneath of the little cubby hole would look pretty sick. When I want to see it I open the cubby and then close it when not. It should look pretty stealth. Im prolly gonna scrack my head for a day or two trying to get through all the instructions. But as it looks, I dont think im gonna need a tune. I think this little guy tunes itself.

Just found a little more info as I could not find any easy ecu wiring diagram. I also kinda felt faint when the directions told me to splice into the ecu wiring harness. A little googling and I found Boomslang Fabrication. They make plug and play harnesses for a lot of different electronic management options. http://www.boomslang.us/neo.htmFor the Neo they did not offer it for our G's or 350's but I just got off the phone and they do make them they just not much of a demand and not advertised. Harness on the way and I will keep you all informed.WesIde
