Apex N1 evo on sr20 - NEED HELP

i have a 96 240sx with a blacktop sr20det swap. the exhaust i have on there now is tiny so i bought a 3" Apex N1 evo catback exhaust. i had it in the shop to get installed and we realized that there are a lot of clearance issues. has anyone else run into any clearance issues with this setup?

Most aftermarket exhausts hang low. Remember, the car was never designed for 3" exhaust piping.

well i mean that the piping hits the driveshaft protector and it doesnt even butt up correctly against the cat. i have the stock downpipe and cat on the car btw

you might need to get a test pipe on it so that it will extend more for better fitment

not to sound like an idiot but what is a test pipe? can i buy one or do i have to get it made?

Search it on Ebay. They are like thirty dollars. Im using the stock cat and mine fits fine. I i prefer how quiet it is.

You sure you didnt buy a s13 exhaust by accident?

nope, part numbers match up correctly for my car and exhaust and the paperwork that came with it is for my carany other suggestions?

if your having a shop put it on they should have the means to make it fit the way you want and need.
