Apex'I Rev/Speed meter fix KA gauge cluster?

Hey guys.. I was reading the sepc/uses for an Pexi Rev/Speed meter.. (Cameron owes me one so I was checking out what it does!) and one of the uses is that it has an RPM and SPEED output ability.. which to me sounds like the gauges could possibly be hooked up to it?? I'm probably way off.. but if this is true then this could possibly make both the rev and speed gauges work... anyone who'd know have any opinions on this?? I just realized that the KA gauges are mechanical right? not electrical? so maybe this wouldn't work.. any hoot tell me what u think, what you know.
