hey guys,

i want ure opinions, im gonna turbo the KA down the road, but NA for now and a while; and im getting the N1 for sure, but should i go with the NA-sized N1 single or go with the N1 dual? The Dual only comes in one size for both turbo and NA applications right?? so i could then modify it for use with my turbo? thanks for the help.

Kinda off the subject... but isnt the N1 dual only for 240's and 93-97 RX-7's?

Thanks, Dan

Either one is adequately sized for a turbo application. 'modifying' the dual would prove costly and useless.

I too am intending on putting a turbo on the KA, and I'll be buying the N1 Dual as soon as I can afford it.

alrite, thanks, i am leaning toward the dual too... it also helps that unlike the single n1, doesnt carry a $150-200 shipping charge for its one piece design.

uh....I would sugest if your going turbo to use the single N-1. a one peice design is going to be better, aand I have heard(through balanced performance) that the y-pipe in the dual N-1 can cause back flow problems with turbo setups, although not deadly, it can hamper performance a bit.-chet

also, anyone who cahrges 150 dollars to ship it is ripping you off. it should costs maybe 20(to 40 if you live far away) dollars to ship the full n-1 single. thats how much it cost me.

where did u buy ure's from?

all the places ive found say that UPS charges for oversized packaging since the box is apparently over 8ft long... i live in kansas, just south of KC, and no shops around here can do any better...most wont even carry the n1 unless its special ordered, which costs more money... thanks.

I have an Apex'i dual N1, i saw some dyno charts that compaired the N1 to Dual N1 (for turbos) and the biggest difference I could see was that the Dual N1 has better midrange torque, other than that they move the same amount of air and have very simialar power results

Also mine was about $550 from enjuku racing but i had to wait more than 5 weeks to get it because they have to order from japan (not stocked by Apex'i in US)

Saw this post and had to reply.

First of all, if you're not getting a full cat back Apexi A1, there's no reason to get it at all. The only thing that the muffler (alone) will do is make you car louder. With the wider piping you will increase your air flow giving your car that sexy sound and the horse power that you want and/or need.

Dual Apexi vs. single doesn't have that much difference in horse power. You're already getting the air flow that you need from the single cat back exhaust, so if you get the dual, the only difference you will see is in your wallet. Hope I didn't reply after you got your exhaust and that I may have been of some service. ;)

welll the single comes at a 75-85 MM pipe size so it'll be really good for a turboed engine........ if you're gonna turbo your engine soon I'd go w/ the single cuz it offers more flow the point of the dual is to retain as much backpressure as possible while getting the maximum amount of free flow, but since you're gonna run a turbo anyway no point in getting the dual..... look around in local performance shops alotta times you'll find it surprising that you'll find some stuff cheap or w/o shipping

heres wat i know about the n1... single comes in NA and turbo versions, n1 dual comes in one version.... NA single and n1 dual have 90mm tips, Turbo single has 115mm tip and the purple/particle coating, big piping, and stainless mufflers are gorgeous!
