ok i know that alot of you guys out there are running with the apex multi-checker in your cars, what i was wandering is if any of you have ever calibrated it to match your dyno runs as it suguests to do in the manual. i know that it reads power in ps but that is equal to like .99 hp so its more or less a 1 to 1 ratio, so i guess my question is this. if you want it to read RWhp what are you guys setting the % difference to , i have been using -12% assuming that im losing a full 12% of power through drivetrain, also i have the intake set at 15% difference to account for the CAI system on the car, and of course since im running 18s there is the 2% difference in wheel size. so i guess my question is two parts here, first what kind of drivetrain loss are you guys getting on your S14's and if you have calabrated your multi-checkers what were your settings, thanks for all imput....

geesh does no one here know what there car is losing due to drivetrain loss? well actually i guess i could just use what nissan rates there car at the flywheel and what it actually puts out stock to the wheels as a starting point huh, lets see stock 249 rated at 155 at the crank and on adverage put out 136 at the wheels so its something like 12.3% loss, well if anyone else has any solid numbers that i can use i would like to hear them thanks....

Well seeing as how nobody has anything I'll try. As far as the HP reading in the instructions it tells you to take the actual as seen by a chassis dyno compared to what the checker says with all the other settings. This will be a correction figure. You already know the tire size correction procedure. If you want a true correction for the CAI put the stock fiter back on and compare your readings to what it reads with the CAI on with no correction dialed in, that is what your correction will be. You will have to set everything else before you do the HP dyno runs and correction.

K..little off the subject. Where did you guys get your multimeters / how much $. And is there much of an advantage to having one with out forced induction or some sort of high HP mod. Thanks a lot.
