aparently my clutch is useless... I can shift into N without the clutch, when driving. And when I am stopped I can go through the entire gearbox without touching the clutch pedal at all...

Are you talking about. Are you saying that while driving the car can be taken out of gear and put into Neutral even without the clutch....NO s*** IDIOT. And holy s*** you must have the only 240sx in the world or manual car even that you can shift through all the gears with the car off. I mean nothing is moving inside the trans so NO s*** IDIOT.

This really cant be serious. If the car is not running then there is no reason to have to depress the clutch to shift through the gears for nothing is moving.

That's actually not a clutch pedal, it's a brake pedal. I think I'll have to go make a picture guide.

OP said that he can put it into neutral when moving. If you cant pop your car out of gear without using the clutch you need to give it to me right now

June 1 I hit my 3 year mark, Navy is definitely the way to go and IT is a great rate, especially considering all the training is really valuable when you get out. Good luck man, if you have any questions hit me up [email protected]

I can slide my car out of gear while I'm moving no problem.I do it all the time when I'm too lazy to touch the clutch to go into neutral.

I cruise down this decline in 4th, reach 40-45mph, let off a gas a little and pop into neutral. Done.

However, it's not normal to be able to go through all the gears without pressing down your clutch when you're at a stop.

LOL!!! this is awesome why is the OP not posting in here anymore? he could get out of more flames and make people not think hes doo doo dummy by just saying if the car was on while moving through the gears... If its off then FAIL big time please sell all cars and leave. However if you move them through all the gears while the cars running you have a serious problem lol GL

This is my first manual trans, I did not know this was normal. Considering it is a manual swaped vert that doesn't have a clutch-start saftey (I can start the car without touching the the clutch while the car is in gear). I thought the swapper could have missed something.

It's okay, don't be so paranoid.

Elaborate? When your car is on, you must disengage the clutch to move through the gears. When your car is off, you might have to disengage the clutch to move through the gears. You usually don't have to, but it won't be smooth.
