I just purchased a fully loaded 2004 Nissan Altima SL with a 6 CD changer in-dash Bose system. I was so excited until i realized the CD system kept spitting out my CD-R's and CD-RW disc. I was told that the 6 CD changer Bose system played Recordable disc but after doing some reading in the manual it states that it doesn't. Anyone know if there is some kinda audio upgrade i can go to the dealer to install in my car so my player can play my CD-R/W disc? 95% of my music are custom mix CD's since this is a digital world now and i feel so handicapped ridding without my music like i did in my old car. Any Altima owners here find a way to get a bose system installed that plays the latest formats?

if i were you... i would get an ipod and buy the new harman kardon drive plus play system. i have the older version and its awesome. the new one is all wireless and has a color screen and bluetooth capabilities. you can transfer all your music to itunes and put it on the ipod and play it through there.

Why not buy an aftermarket deck?
