I have lowered it as far as it goes...using the electric controls. Is there something else I don't know?I know there is "wrench mod" for the G35 to lower it even further...wonder if it works on the Coupe.johnny_d wrote:lower your seat a bit?
there is one mod...it's getting the coupe without the sunroof lol . You get about 2.5" more space above your head.chamade wrote:Hello, well I picked up a Coupe 3.5SE today. I have to recline the seat quite a bit backto make decent headroom.I was wondering if there are any mods/aftermarket solutions to increase the headroom?
thanks
I wish I could have. My dealer could not locate a 3.5 with no premium package and no sunroof.I called some car interior places and a few of them said that I can gain 3/4" - 1" of headroom by having them remove some padding from the seat. I will look into this...not cheap at ~450$.Anyone done something like this? I really love this car and if 450$ can fix the headroom problem I'd do it.mcheddadi wrote:

Headroom, front (in): 37.2 (39.7 without sunroof)
I guess for the same reason people buy exotics, its all for the looksSHIFT_2.5S wrote:Did you sit in the car prior to purchasing it? Why did you buy a car that you're not comfortable sitting in?
But it would still have that "gangster lean" he wants to get rid of...generic808 wrote:Just remove your factory seat and replace with one of these. They're very low to the ground and they recline all the way. Now talk about comfort!!
Thanks for the laughs. The headroom was not bad enough to not get the car.It was also suggested to me that the seat will settle in over a few weeks and I should gain half an inch. If not I will do some doctoring on the seat padding/support mesh. I don't need more than half an inch...shouldn't be a big problem.SHIFT_2.5S wrote:

the 3.5 comes with the sunroof as standard. You can not get one w/o it.chamade wrote:

I should say that headroom is not a problem in gangsta seating mode, but that's not really my thing
Good to know, means I didn't even have a choice as I really wanted the 3.5 after test driving both models.pdrumans wrote:
