$2500 TOPS!! yes the car is lowered, i can tell. whats lowering it?? i have no idea. it is a 5spd SE, so thats a really good foundation. the front end damage is very very minimal. a new/used hood, passenger side fender, headlight, and corner light will have that thing looking new in no time!
all of those parts are a bolt on affair. just jamb the fender (if it isnt already red) before you bolt it on with some red spray bomb. parts alone should be no more than $200.
the paint work (if you want a good job done) will cost around $500-$700 (base/clear). in order for it to look like nothing ever happened, the painter will have to respray the entire front bumper, new hood, new fender, and then blend into the driver side fender, and passenger side door.
lets round it up to $1k for everything to be fixed, that way you know how much youre going to have to put into it after/if you decide to purchase this car (bring this up as a factor in your offer as well, and the high mileage when bargaining). remember, you can always start low and work your way up.
ask the seller exactly what he was looking to get for it. if he says 3k, tell him youll take it away right now for 2k, and tell him the reason behind your offer. hell, print up a kbb value and bring it with you. if the seller doesnt bite for 2k, or whatever you offer him just say thank you for your time and start walking away (this would be a bluff, and hopefully hell fold.... i play p0ker LOL). show the seller the 2k in cash that you have when making your offer so he knows youre serious, and ready to buy. while walking away, if the seller really wants your money, hell call you (p0ker term lol) and either take your offer, or reraise your offer.
if you get to this point if the seller doesnt settle for the first initial offer this is good. youve got him trapped to sell the car to you, but at what price? just keep reiterating how much youll have to put into the car, and the cars actual KBB value. hopefully you will get the car for the max price youre willing to pay. another thing, keep the $2k in one pocket, and the rest in another
question for you.... how much are YOU willing to pay for it???
