i recently bought an SR20 with a stock turbo but it has a HKS actuator. i honestly dont know if im using it right haha. it was set for 15 psi when i bought it but i dont want to run that kind of boost until i hook up my SAFC. i adjusted the actuator to allow the most slack (ive heard thats how you turn down the boost) does anyone know whats the lowest you can adjust it to and how to do that. im looking to run near stock boost for now.

If the spring is 1 bar spring than thats what you will be running period. There is one way to NOT run that much, and that is to extend the arm out like you did. However what that does is leave the flapper open all the time. Which means a lot of the exhaust pressure that is used to spool the turbo is going to slip right out the wastegate passage. Your turbo will spool much slower that way...

Consider selling it to someone and get a stock one (7psi). Use the extra money that you got from the HKS unit and buy a hallman or Joe P manual boost controller and enjoy!

If you want to be doing like 3 psi then go ahead and make the rod longer haha...I was testing my brother's s13 earlier and it was doing 3 psi although today is in the 90s. A couple weeks ago he said he was doing 9 psi. Weather dependent I think.

im just gonna wait til my first test drive with the rod extended and see where the boost is. if i dont like it i'll probably trade it to someone for a stock actuator and maybe a lil cash.
