what wire on the car should i tie into to get the speed input to my timer

You dont have an electric speed signal on an RB20 trans uinles syou swapped to the KA speed sensor...tap into the wire that feeds the gauge if you did.

i have the ka lower harness but there are two wires that come out of the speed sensor

One is +12V inOne is signal out

Unplug the sensor, probe the wiring harness side and see which wire is feeding power.

The other color wire, find it on the back of the cluster and tap in.

Check out rb20det.com. They have a pinout on the ECU. You tap into pin 53 on the ECU.Or go here http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=75506. Page down and you'll find the pinout.

That is assuming you have wired the speed sensor to the ECU...the RB20 has a cable speedo, and as far as I know not an electric speed sensor.....

The RB20 is VERY similar in electrical setup to the RB26. I wonder if that wire is for the RB26.
