Does the sending unit for the oil pressure gauge thread directly into the stock sending unit location? Or do i have to still get an adapter.

Thanks. :inoutgay:

If Greddy is the same as the others, then it is 1/8 NPT and the hole for the stock gauge is 1/8 BSPT I believe. They are actually really close and may work but you would be forcing it.

2 options beside forcing it:
1 = adapter (could use a T here to keep both senders)
2 = tapping the hole to NPT (I'd remove the Oil Filter bracket for this).

I couldn't tell you but if its close like biqqie said, you could prolly use some teflon tape on it to finish the seal...just an idea tho. kind of riggin it and from you build, that is the last thing your into.lol

ya the 1/8 npt is close, like it only threads in about 1/4 turn.. DO NOT FORCE IT! just buy an adapter for a few dollars. i dont know what threads are on the greddy one (sorry) but if its not the bspt then dont force it.

Apparently it is BSPT because i bought the greddy water temp adapter STRICTLY for the purpose of testing thread types. I threaded the greddy oil sending unit directly in and it fit perfectly. I tried theading a 1/8 NPT nipple in and it went maybe one turn. I tried a 1/8 NPT sending unit that i had installed in my NISSport adapter and that went one turn as well. I tried the STOCK sending unit for the KA, SR, RB, CA and it threaded in perfectly which means the Greddy oil pressure sender and the stock sender are the same thread pitch.

I will be installing this hopefully tomorrow. No more stock sender or BS adapters! yay!

This may be a dumb question, but does installing an oil gauge disengage the oil "dummy" light on the gauge cluster from working properly?

If you remove the stock sender, yes. You can use a tee fitting and keep both.

However if you use a dummy light, you are a dummy. Simply because at that point its already too late XD

Not always too late. Mine let me know there was an issue when the rpms dropped, ended up being a leaking pickup, no issues after replacement and fill up of oil. But usually yes it is a bad sign.
