Just like the topic says, I used it to test bending a 1-1/2 inch pipe and just mangled it. Maybe I need to lengthen the bend bars and increase radius? I want to test another pipe but don't want to mangle it as well. Anyone know a site with just some general instructions or experience on how to use one?

The problem with the one you are using is that the inside walls of the bender have to be sized for the pipe you are bending.

Having used a hyraulic EMT bender myself, i can tell you that they have to be bent around something that will support the inside of the bend as well as the sides, otherwise the pipe just kinks up.

I have it with all the various dies ... maybe I'll try stepping it down to the next lower 1/4 inch size or try to find something that can be wedged up on the sides ... I don't know

I just mangled another pipe albeit a little less bad. I moved the radius rollers in a little which helped. I'm going to post this in NICO general to see if I can get more responses.
