I know there are, I just wanted to see what it took for the installation process.

My car comes prewired, so I know it would work for OEM fogs. But my concern is the ebay fogs may not connect because either it accepts a different size bulb and/or the output will be s***. I would never get projector fogs btw. IF it is just a simple plug n play, with the exception of wiring the switch, how has it been working out for you and which store would you recommend? Thanks goys!

Edit: Ok so I see on some stores they have fogs that will fit H11 and some for H8 so obviously stick with the H11 for a sure fit. So I guess its just how to connect the switch. I assume people splice into the parking wire and ground the neg to the chassis?

Parking wire? Well I suppose that's one way to do it, but I would wire it to a 12V source, like the cigarette lighter under the stereo (splice into the wires going to the connector) or wire directly to battery. Negative you can simply ground to a good grounding source like the frame. Put the switch in between and done. Then you can turn on and off the fogs whenever you wish and they will only work when the car is in Accessory/ON/Running modes.

I never though of splicing into a 12V plug in. I figured the only time I'd use the fogs are when I turn the lights on. However I do have auto lights so I wonder if by splicing into the parking lights, if the fogs will automatically come on.

Your idea sounds a little easier, its just a matter of locating that 12v wire.

I just like the control over the 100% if they are on or off. You could have them on even if your headlights are off which is pretty cool. Honestly, I would go with my method, not because I suggested it, but because you have full control. You may want to run a bigger fuse though, I am not sure what the cig lighter is fused at as I have not looked but I assume it's something low.

I have two gauges running off the cig lighter (AEM Wideband and a ProSport Boost gauge) with no issues, plus I usually have my phone plugged in to charge off the same port and it works fine. Have never blown a fuse but your mileage may vary.

Other idea is just to run a wire from the positive on the battery and ground the other wire to the frame, fuse it and use the switch as well. Same control but if you forget to turn them off they will drain the battery pretty quick. 12V cig lighter under the stereo shuts off when the car is off so no chance of them being left on.

I'm sure you'll figure something out. :)

I think I'm going to go with your method. It makes alot of sense. Two questions:

where do you locate the 12v wires in the engine bay?

Have you changed the fuse for your 12v yet?
