How much does it usually cost to complete a whole ac setup on an sr? I live in vegas and it's not an option to have ac here. Are the ac components on my ka24e compatible with the sr?

I posted this thread last night but I have no idea why it got deleted.

You need to make a small bracket to make it work, or get an KA24DE compressor(Not sure if KA24E lines will thread onto the KA24DE compressor though.

You need the kade compressor and lines. Thats all... if you have an s13 redtop. I think its the same with the black top... not quite sure though.

actually you can do alot of it yourself, the only thing you will need done is the line that goes to the fire wall, that fitting is diffrent you will need a shop to mate the sr fitting to the compressor. The line that comes from the condensor is the same so it will bolt directly on to the compressor. After thats all said and done you will need a place to suck the system so you get a vacume. so you can then start to fill the system. When i get AC back on my car i will be rerouting the lines so they dont get burnt up by the wastegate and the turbo heat. hope this helps a bit

ohh i did not read all the way i guess you have a single cam s13 if that the case you will have to change both fitting one from the condensor to the compressor and the other one that comes from the fire wall.

Thanks for the help everyone.. Am I able to use the compressor that my sr came with or is there a reason I'd have to use the compressor from the ka24de? Sry I'm pretty new at this stuff

When I tried to line my ka24de compressor up it didn't look very good to me.

I've heard three of the 4 bolt holes on the bracket do line up though.

I'm trying to find a sr20de bracket and compressor anyone know what all years (sentra/g20) will be the same as the det?

The easiest way to do it is to use the SR20DET compressor. Then take the KA and SR lines and have a shop remove and reconnect the fittings to make a hybrid hose.

If you dont have the SR compressor or lines I am sure you can find someone on ebay or a forum who is throwing them away thinking they are useless.

Its pretty easy to find KA lines, SR lines are pretty hard to find. Finding SR lines is pretty much hit or miss. Although, if someone has seen SR lines for sale, please let me know.

Sorry to thread jack, but does anyone know if the ka24e and the ka24de's a/c fittings are the same? Also, are the sr20de and sr20det's a/c fittings the same?
