For those who have an S13 redtop (or black top) in your S14. What FMIC are you using? I'm compiling a list/plan for my swap and I'm thinking about a Greddy RSPL FMIC. My only question is descriptions of this specific intercooler say it's for S13 sr20s in an S13 or S14 sr20 in an S14, but nothing about an S13 sr20 in an S14. I've also seen similiar descriptions on other FMICs. When you installed your FMIC, did you have an fitment problems or issues? Was there any custom piping made? If so, who made it and how much did it cost? Excuse all the questions, but I'm trying to compile a pretty detailed list so I can know how much overtime to work to pay for all this..hehe. Thanks in advance.

Get a FMIC kit for an S13 because the cold pipe (pipe leading up to the throttle body) is shaped differently between the S13 and S14/S15 kits. It bolts all up fine. Also order the S13 hot pipe from Heavy Throttle and it'll all work out fine.

Ah, I see. So when looking for components, I should get S13 parts rather than S14. Thanks, much appreciated :D

Not all S13 parts the exhaust should be for a S14.

Where to get a S14 in a S14 hotpipe? I was looking last night and never found one. All says "S13 Hotpipe", but the S14 FMIC kits don't come with a hotpipe, so one is needed.

I can't understand what your asking but if your looking for a S14 hotpipe or a S13 hotpipe look at http://www.srswap.com in the intercooler section.

ace, they dont specify which hotpipes they carry. to make it worse, you cant even click on these or have any pricings on them. basically i am looking for a sr20 (s14 blacktop) mounted in a s14 chassis hotpipe. which means---i need an s14 hotpipe.

I am pretty much positive that they carry S14 hotpipes. An alternative is to go to a muffler shop and have them make you a piece hotpipe. But you should just call Heavy Throttle. Their number is on their website. PS It's no the 1800 4 SR SWAP number its the one on the contact page.

I have a s13 Red top SR in my S14 kouki and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get just the piping that goes from the inercooler to the hotpipe for an s13? Or how to make it all work? I have a greddy intake manifold and i purchased the greddy v-spec inercooler kit amd the intake side lines up. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

You buy the piping kits to fit the motor; ie, for an S13 in either the S13 or S14 chassis, buy the S13 kit, which should also come with the hotpipe. For an S14 kit in either chassis, again, buy the kit to fit the engine (S14). The only difference is in the mounting brackets for the intercoolers. Specify which chassis and ask that the dealer swap the brackets for you. I got a Hybrid kit from HIPRO at http://www.hiprollc.com and they swapped the brackets for me at no charge.
