Hey guys, just installed mine today and noticed that the top of it, the part with the vaccum nipple and adjustment bolt coming out is loose and spins. Is it supposed to spin so you can angle the vaccum nipple any way you want or is mine messed up or somthing?

the adjustment bolt w/ nut is loose? or is the vacuum nipple loose?

if bolt, that is fine, bcs you are suppose to tighten it after you set your pressure.

If the vacuum nipple lets you angle stuff around, seems like something is wrong.

My vacuum piece stays where it should. The bolt was loose until I tightened it after setting pressure.

Here, the whole top part spins, its outlined in red, its odd, its not leaking vaccum or fuel, still adjusts right. The only thing is that it doesn't hold any fuel pressure after the car is off, as soon as I turn the car off the pressure drops to zero. Most of the cars I had before would hold pressure after the engine was turned off, thats why its necessary to release the fuel pressure before you do anything to the lines, I can just turn the car off and take the lines off and there no pressure in them with this one.

Oooo, you have a universal one, that may explain it.

I have the one that bolts directly to the fuel rail, so it's fixed position.

No, I have the one that bolts to the rail, just using that pic as a reference. I am guessing its screwed up though, just went and checked it again and its leaking vaccum, I don't think it was last night but it is now. With the vaccum line plugged in I'm getting about 17-18 hg of vaccum at idle, if I take the line off the fpr and plug it I get my normal 20-21 hg at idle. Time to call courtesy and get another one, hopefully they will let me exchange this one.

If it moves, your FPR will not work. I actually got one that was broken in the same place. Basically, the thing will not hold a vacuum.
