I'm looking at buying a Z32 located in Sacramento and I was hoping that someone knowledgeable could go take a good look at it for me. I'm not concerned about the engine, as I'm going to twin turbo swap it anyway. The car has a lot of miles and I'm basically looking at it as a "shell." I want to make sure that the interior is good, and that the shell is solid and hasn't been twisted. I also want to make sure the car is being sold by the owner, and that the title matches the Vin on the dash, vin plate, and firewall. So now that you knwo what you are in for if you are still willing to help please let me know.

Thanks,John

Where exactly is this car? I live about 30miles or 20 mins from sac.

I would like to point out a couple things though. First it would be cheaper to buy a TT then to convert an NA. Secondly, from the picture you posted the plates appear to be Oregon plates rather then California plates.

did a little quick homework and found this cars listing. The area code for his phone number is also Oregon. I would beware if I were you.Have you tried craigslist in your area yet? around here tons of 300zx's come up reasonably priced. Not quite as low as that one but close.

He states in the add that it has an Oregon reg and plates, so I'm not worried there. The Oregon phone number as well makes me think he is a college student. The reason I want this particular Z is because of the color. It's a rarity and it only came on the 90 N/A model. If you would be willing to check it out for me I could paypal you a few $ for your trouble. I emailed him asking him where the car is located, and I am waiting for a reply.

As far as the conversion, I know. But I went through the hassle of getting all the parts for a shell I currently have, only to never get a title. I have an entire Z that is parts only now, and a Mine's tuned VG-TT sitting in my garage. So I just really need a good shell with a valid title.

The problem with Zs near me is they either go for a premium, in nice condition, or they go for book value and are rusted out. The winter and salt is so bad around here that it is common to see 10 year old cars with holes rusted through the body. Once, I put a 15 year old Ranger on the lift and the frame was so rusted the cab and engine fell off the front of the lift, and the bed fell off the back. If I do end up being forced to get one near me, it will still be from farther south. I drove 500 miles for the last one, and time is the only thing keeping me from flying to Sacramento and driving this home.

I know what your sayin about rust back there. I see them out here from time to time and always wonder why they continue to salt the roads back there. Its funny you mentioned the ranger incident, I always worry thats going to happen when I get one on a rack here..lol

You dont need to pay me to do it. If its close enough I wont mind lookin for ya. Just post back where he is and I will let ya know if I can go.
